Call for the Digital Symposium on Linguistic Landscapes

Hi everyone,

We would like to welcome anyone interested to join us at the Digital Symposium on Linguistic Landscapes in Second Language Teaching and Learning (L2TL) Contexts, which will take place on December 17. The event will mark the completion of the LLinELTProject and feature talks by international speakers as well as presentations by English language teachers and teacher candidates. The registration is free can be done through the link on project website at: http://llineltproject.com/event/symposium.html

Linguistic Landscapes in English Language Teaching (LLinELT) is an intercontinental project developed as a result of the collaboration of Dicle University (Turkey) and Texas Christian University (Texas, United States), which aims  present opportunities for teachers and teacher candidates to learn and practice integrating LL-based materials into their classes, and thus create a safe atmosphere for learners to discuss a wide array of issues from global citizenship and English as a Lingua Franca, to translanguaging/language play, and engage them in meaningful real-life tasks.

We have an exciting line up of speakers who will be delivering talks during the symposium:

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

Dr. David Malinowski (San Jose State University, California, United States)

Dr. Yasemin Bayyurt (Boğaziçi University, Turkey)

Dr. Tamás Péter Szabó  (University of Jyväskylä, Finland)

Please take a moment to register and don't forget to share the event with friends and colleagues who might be interested in joining us at the symposium!
