Four workshops were run by the project team through which participants learnt how to integrate issues such as globalization, global citizenship, English as a Lingua Franca, and language play into their English classes through the use of LL-based materials. Teachers were selected from the volunteering educators, while teacher candidates were pre-service teachers of English the majority of whom is in either third or final year of studies. They brainstormed ideas for creating activities and developed a lesson plan during the workshop. All of the participants were invited to put their materials into practice and they were encouraged to share their LL-based practices in the upcoming symposium.
